RenalTracker

RenalTracker is a start-up on a mission to reduce the prevalence of kidney failure and improve the health of people who suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). They moved from the US to the Netherlands and landed in the Rockstart Digital Health Accelerator.

RenalTracker’s business model was fully based on B2C sales, depending on the willingness-to-pay of individuals. In order for them to reach the next level, they needed to explore the potential of their solution in the B2B market. This in order to delay dialysis for more people and to integrate flawlessly in renal care process.

We were asked by RenalTracker to identify the potential opportunities for their solution in the Dutch care system. After identifying every possible opportunity for RenalTracker to fit in or around existing renal care processes, we started reaching out to the different stakeholders involved to validate our concept propositions. By getting input directly from potential customers or collaborators, we quickly narrowed it down to a shortlist of top opportunities. This enabled Renal Tracker to validate their B2B opportunities and start acting upon them right after.

Mowoot

Mowoot is a pelvic massage device, designed to tackle chronic constipation. After a strong start on the Spanish market, with successes on both the B2B and the B2C rehabilitation market, they started exploring new European markets.

With every European market differing in market segments and financial structures, they needed insight on where their product could be most successful, both on a medical and economical level.

We started off by listing all market segments with potential opportunities and crunching the basic numbers. With these opportunities in mind, we reached out to several caretakers and decision makers in every market segment.

This led to clear, validated market insights and a list of potential customers for a strong start in the Netherlands.

Balanseat

Balanseat is an Israeli start-up founded by an occupational therapist* who missed an essential part in our current rehabilitation and fall prevention equipment. They developed a new mechanism to further advance the care standard for people with mobility problems.

In their preparations to launch their first product and further collect scientific evidence, they identified the Netherlands as a suited market to do this. They had a need for strong market insights and proposition validation at their future potential customers.

With our strong knowledge of the Dutch care and reimbursement system and a lean set up customer validation, we provided them with all the needed knowledge and a list of potential customers. After this, they came to the Netherlands to meet with several of our relations and found three partners for a multicenter clinical trial.

The swedish start-up ‘Kontigo Care’ combines a connected breath analyser with artificial intelligence in an eHealth solution to support people with a history of alcohol abuse and prevent them from falling back.

In 2018 KontigoCare not only won the eHealth of the Year award in Sweden, but also started exploring new markets. We performed an initial market exploration of the Dutch market, testing the proposition and assessing their fit in our care and reimbursement system. After our initial exploration, we received KontigoCare in the Netherlands and introduced them to our network of care professionals and decision makers to discuss opportunities and test the proposition face to face.

Yes!Delft is a renowned European incubator located in Delft, the Netherlands. They participated in the EITHealth Product Market Fit programm.

This program supports European digital health and medtech startups that are ready to launch their solutions in European countries outside of their home market. The different incubators involved in this program host a visit for the participating startups, and provide them with a trajectory to validate their proposition. Because of the highly specialized context of digital health and medtech, Yes!Delft asked us to bring in our network and expertise for these trajectories and support the startups with their market validation.
