The MedScaler story
At MedScaler, we believe we can reduce the gap between the possibilities and daily use of innovation in healthcare. Driven by a shared passion, Nino Bellengé and Robin Toorneman decided to launch a company 100% dedicated to help scale MedTech and Digital Health in the Netherlands and Europe. Today, we’re celebrating our official launch, an exciting milestone!
Early 2018, Nino – back then working as consultant at Vital Innovators – proposed the idea to help foreign MedTech and Digital Health companies enter the Dutch health market. “This idea increases the adoption of health innovation in the Netherlands and also benefits scale-ups worldwide”, Nino explains. A first customer was quickly found and that is when things started rolling…

Nino and Robin were already collaborating in a different setting, and decided to join forces once again. During the first six months, Vital Innovators gave them the liberty to validate the proposition of what is now MedScaler under their label. Nino: “The enthusiasm was great and requests started coming in from several countries. That is when we decided to spin-out and build MedScaler”.
Entering new markets is an exciting step that can get quite complex and difficult to oversee, especially when based in another country. Robin: “That is why we put a lot of effort in creating simple and transparent step-by-step process. We combine our knowledge of the healthcare system with validated, first-hand information from our network of healthcare experts. We really aim to simplify market introductions for our clients”.
So far, we’ve had an absolute dream start. We want to thank everybody that helped us along the way and we cannot wait to see what comes next!
